Check a trademark in Israel
The Israel Patent Office publishes its trademark register as open data on data.gov.il: the register itself, holders and licensees, priority claims, a change log, marks based on foreign registrations, and conditions or disclaimers. Open Trademarks reads it from there, and every result shows the date it was read.
What a record holds
The mark number, whether the mark is figurative, the Hebrew and English descriptions of the mark, the application and registration dates, the Nice classes, the goods in Hebrew and English, the owner and representative, expiry, and the status.
Statuses
Registered, accepted, in first or second examination, awaiting examination, in classification and awaiting a decision in another file are all live: each blocks a later filing. Closed is dead.
Hebrew and English
Many Israeli marks carry a Hebrew form and a Latin form. The search matches the Latin form by spelling and sound and the Hebrew form exactly, with vowel points stripped and final letters folded.
International marks
Madrid designations of Israel appear in the same register, marked international, and are read like any other.
