Who we are

Open Trademarks is operated by Just Done, LLC, a Delaware limited liability company, 2810 N Church St STE 88992, Wilmington, DE 19802, United States. By using the site, the API or the MCP server you agree to these terms.

What the service is

A search over trademark registers as their offices publish them. Results are provided as is, for information. They are not legal advice, not a clearance opinion and not a guarantee that a name is available. Registers change daily and the service may lag them; every result states when each register was read.

The API and the MCP server

The API and the MCP server are free, read-only and offered without any service level. We may change them, limit them or block traffic that harms the service at any time, without notice. The published rate limit (60 requests a minute per address) is a current setting, not a promise. If an AI assistant or another program calls the service for you, these terms apply to you as the person or business it acts for.

What you may do

Use the site, the API and the MCP server for any lawful purpose, within the rate limit. Reuse the open dataset under the terms stated for each register.

What you may not do

Overload the service, circumvent the rate limit, present results as an opinion of Just Done LLC or of any office, or remove the read dates and the notice from results you republish.

Using results and the open dataset

Show the read dates and the notice with any result you display or republish. Register data you get from us stays subject to each office's terms, restated on the open data page; follow them, including each office's attribution line. Do not use a result to suggest that an office, or Just Done LLC, has cleared a name.

Register data remains subject to each office's terms. The offices are not affiliated with this service and do not endorse it.

The code

The source code is licensed separately under the MIT licence in the repository. These terms do not limit it.

Liability

To the extent the law allows, Just Done LLC is not liable for indirect or consequential loss, or for any loss arising from reliance on a result, and its total liability for any claim is limited to USD 100. Nothing in these terms limits liability that the law does not allow to be limited.

Governing law

These terms are governed by the laws of the State of Delaware, without regard to its conflict-of-law rules. The state and federal courts located in Wilmington, New Castle County, Delaware have exclusive jurisdiction. Nothing in these terms takes away rights you have under the mandatory consumer law of the country where you live.
